Milk Recall In Missouri

500 gallons of skim milk have been recalled by Ozark Mountain Creamery in Mountain Grove, after high residual phosphatase was found in it. The Missouri Department of Agriculture, the state Milk Board and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services say that could indicate it was not properly pasteurized and could contain harmful pathogens.

The milk was packaged in half-gallon glass bottles with green caps marked “10/24,” and was bottled on October 7.  Any unused milk can be returned to the place it was purchased.
It was sold in the following stores:

After Bud Mareth led the group in the Optimist pledge, results of the silent auction were announced.  Members also participated in a pie auction and a live auction.  All money raised will go to help the Butler Optimists in supporting local youth programs.  The evening ended with music by Mike Kershner (M-Pulse).
