St. Clair County Sheriffs Office: Arrest Warrant Issued For Appleton City Man

  • On Aug. 26, an arrest warrant was issued for Jonavon Loney, 23, Appleton City, charging him with a class D felony of property damage-first degree. The charge stems from an incident on Aug. 19 involving the Appleton City Police Department. St. Clair County Sheriffs Office: Warrant Arrest

  • On Aug. 28, Ronald Noble, 45, Independence, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on an original charge of non support, a class A misdemeanor. Bond was set at $1,500 cash only. The warrant was issued on May 12. A court date of Sept. 5 was issued.


Severe Thunderstorm Watch For Bates County

The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill, Missouri has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Bates County until 4 a.m.Monday morning.

Four Nevada teenagers hurt in early morning crash


Four Nevada teenagers were hurt early today in a one-vehicle crash on Jayhawker Road, four miles North of Nevada in rural Vernon County. 

Missouri Highway Patrol trooper Art Torbeck says the accident happened about 4:00 a.m. when an East-bound 1991 Chevy Blazer, driven by 22-year-old Noah Colopy of Nevada, drove off the left side of the road and overturned. Taken to Nevada Regional Medical Center with minor injuries were four passengers: 14-year-old Abbigail Elliott, 15-year-old Dakota Miller, 17-year-old Steven Pettibone and 14-year-old Haley Toland. Colopy was not hurt.


The vehicle was totaled and removed from the scene by the owner, No one in the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt.

Weather Update: Strong Severe Storms Possible


Spread the word! Two rounds of severe weather are possible tonight and again Monday afternoon. Main threat tonight is damaging winds, although some large hail is possible before midnight in far Northwest Missouri. 

The Best timing for storms into KC area is 12 AM - 6 AM, but this could change slightly. Keep an eye on the forecast today, and get those weather radios turned on before heading to bed!

Missouri State Highway Patrol Arrest Report 8/31/14


  • On 8/31/14 around 3:15a.m. The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 28 year old Abby R. Colin of Butler, Missouri. She was arrested on 1.) Driving while intoxicated 2.) Excessive window tint. She was booked into the Bates County Jail and released.
