Obituary - James “Jim” Bernard Carver

James “Jim” Bernard Carver, 53, Freeman, Missouri, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at his home. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 20 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville, Missouri with inurnment to follow in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Visitation will be from 10:00-10:30 at the church. (A complete obituary will be posted when available).

Obituary - Patricia Colleen White

Patricia Colleen White, Nevada, MO, passed away on Wednesday, October 15th at her home. She was 66. Arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. on Friday, October 17th at the Church of Christ in Nevada. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, October 18th at the Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery in Nevada. Those who wish may contribute in Patricia's name to Heartland Hospice in Butler, MO, in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

BATES COUNTY - Frontier Village in Adrian will be full of activity as the Western Missouri Antique Tractor and Machinery Association have their annual Swap Meet all day Friday and Saturday, October 17th and 18th.

If you’re looking for farm related parts and accessories; tractor parts; tractor farm implements and equipment as well as books and manuals and antique auto parts, you won’t want to miss this swap meet.

Missouri State Highway Patrol arrest report 10/15/14

On 10/15/14 around 2:00 P.M. The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 43 year-old Shanda K. Eakes of Garden City, Missouri. She was arrested for 

1.) Felony Possession of a controlled substance (Meth) 

2.) Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana

 3.) Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. 

She was booked into the Bates County Jail and later released.
