Jeffery D. Bernhardt, age 61, of Belton, Missouri passed away June 6, 2017 at Belton Regional Medical Center. 

Graveside Services will begin at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Belton Cemetery.

One injured in Vernon County motorcycle accident

On 6//11/17 around 1:30pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Vernon County responded to a motorcycle accident on Route E around 5 miles east of Milo, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2004 Harley Davidson Motorcycle driven by 28 year old Kyle S. Albright of Bolivar, Missouri slid on some debris in the roadway and overturned.

Mr. Albright sustained moderate injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri for treatment.

The motorcycle received extensive damages and was removed from the scene by a family friend.

Meet and eat in Butler

FREE LUNCH FOR KIDS!!!

When you are making your plans for tomorrow (Monday) don't forget about the free lunch for children between the ages of 1 & 18. It is served between 11:45am and 12:15pm.

No residency or income restrictions. All children that show up will receive a free lunch. The only stipulation is that they must eat the lunch on site.

The lunch is served at the very south end of the City of Butler park in the large Thorco shelter. It is the one closest to the pool.

The lunches are provided free of charge by the Harvesters Community Food Network and served by Community Food Pantry of Butler and their fabulous volunteers!




Butler woman arrested in Camden County


On 6/11/17 around 10:17am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Camden County arrested 28 year old Misty L. Miller of Butler, Missouri.

She was arrested for 1.) Operating a motor vehicle without a license 2.) Failure to register a motor vehicle 3.) No Insurance 4.) Possession of up to 10 grams or less of Marijuana 5.) Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Misty L. Miller was booked into the Camden County Jail and she is currently listed as bondable.

David L. Ashford 45, of Adrian, Missouri passed away June 9, 2017 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Cremation, with family memorial services to be held at a later date in Loveland, Colorado.
