Hume Community News 12/4/18

The community of Hume wishes to extend their sympathy to the family of Henry Bradley. Before ailing health Henry was an active member in the Hume community. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Kamee Snider celebrated her 9th birthday on Saturday night with Lily Terry and Charley Brown enjoying a slumber party and then Church on Sunday Morning. On Sunday evening the celebration continued with a family party with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins at her home hosted by her parents, Jeffrey and Erika Irwin.

The Hume Garden Club will once again be making their rounds for their Annual Christmas Decorating Contest on December 12 at 6:00 p.m. They would like everyone to light up the community!

The Luncheon held for Kid’s Klub on Sunday, December 2 at the Hume United Church was very well attended. Lots of good Chili, beans and soup plus desserts were enjoyed. The support was very much appreciated.

Upcoming events at the Church will be the annual Christmas Program on December 16th.

Don’t forget the Mistletoe Market hosted by the Hume After-prom committee will be held December 9 from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Hume School. They have several vendors lined up for that day and you will be able to do some local Christmas shopping, along with enjoying some soup and chili for lunch. Hopefully this will become another tradition at Hume.

Santa Claus will be making a stop in Hume on Saturday, December 15 time to be announced will be soon. So be sure and keep your ears open!

The Miami County Kansas Sheriff's Office is actively investigating a Missing Person case for Chevy Wobker. If you know of his whereabouts or have talked to him since November 25th, please contact Detective Hall at 913-294-3232.
