Obituary - Grace Winnifred Wolf

Grace W. Wolf, 85, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Friday, January 25, 2019 at Golden Years in Harrisonville. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. 

Burial in Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday at the chapel.

Clora F. Jones, 69, Harrisonville, Missouri died Friday, January 25, 2019 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2019 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. A complete obituary will be added when it becomes available.

2004 white Ford van with box on back. The box has the Big L Insulation logo on it. License 3SF-490. 

Stolen sometime between Friday January 25th and Sunday January 27th.

Obituary - Leona F. Hill

Leona Frances Hill, 93, of Clinton, Mo, formerly of Adrian, MO, entered Heaven’s gates on January 23, 2019. Leona was born on November 2, 1925, the daughter of James Franklin Arnold and Mary (Bailey) Arnold.

Leona had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Archie, MO. Over the years she had become involved with playing the Q chord and singing at many different church functions. Everywhere she went she would tell people of Jesus and how He loved them.

Leona was preceded in death by her loving husband Billy Paul Hill, daughter Polly Joy Hill and son Paul Wayne Hill. She was also preceded by her 5 brothers: Raymond Arnold, Charles Arnold, Clarence Arnold, Jimmy Arnold and Kenneth Arnold, 2 sisters: Lily Mitchell and Irene Williams.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Campbell (Charles) of Clinton, MO; her son Calvin Lee Hill of Osceola, MO; one granddaughter Loretta Velazquez (Anthony), Clinton, four grandsons, Chuck Campbell (Patti), Clinton, Wesley Campbell (Tonya), Clinton, Mark Hill (Angie), Illinois and Bryan Hill, Minnesota; 11 great-grandchildren, Ezekiel Velazquez, Courtney Campbell, Aaron Campbell, Ryan Meeker, Jill Meeker, Caleb Meeker, Janna Meeker, Jaylene Meeker, Calvin Campbell, Melanie Hill and Jacob Hill. She is also survived by her sister, Florence Cunningham of Butler, MO and two sisters-in-law, Joyce Arnold and Audrey Arnold both of Adrian, MO and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 1st, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. at the Bradley and Hadley Funeral Home in Clinton. Interment will be in Englewood Cemetery.

Harrisonville man arrested in Bates County

On 1/26/19 around 4:24pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 32 year old Morgan L. Sanders of Harrisonville, Missouri.

Mr. Sanders was arrested for 1.) Felony Possession of a controlled substance 2.) (4) Misdemeanor Harrisonville Police Department Warrants.

He was booked into the Bates County Jail and is currently listed as bondable.

Rockville man injured in St. Clair County Crash

On 1/26/19 around 6:15pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in St. Clair County responded to a one vehicle accident on P Highway around 2.5 miles south of Appleton City.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2013 Dodge Avenger driven by 58 year old William E. Osburn of Rockville, Missouri failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the left side of the roadway and down a ditch.

Mr. Osburn sustained moderate injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City, Missouri for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and will be towed at a later time.
