Obituary - Eleanor Helen Hardin

Eleanor Helen Hardin, age 89, of Clinton, passed away at home on Friday, March 8, 2019, surrounded by her family.

Ellie was born January 19, 1930 to Oscar and Clara Berg of Minneapolis, MN. She was the youngest of five, Herbert, Donald, twins John and Marguerite, all who precede her in death.

Ellie graduated from St. Louis Park High School, Minnesota, in 1947. She married Charles B. Hardin, July 14, 1951 in Minneapolis, MN. They became parents to three children, Bruce, Scott and Charlene.

Mrs. H, as she was lovingly called, knew no stranger, she and Charles have been in the motel/hotel business since 1977, starting in Cisco, TX and currently in Clinton, MO. She loved talking to the guests, asking where they were from and where they were headed. She would be thrilled when tour buses from Minnesota stopped in.

Ellie’s favorite vacations were taking cruises, she visited Hawaii, the Caribbean’s, Mexico and Costa Rica.

Ellie is survived by her husband Charles; sons Bruce Hardin of Clinton, Scott Hardin of Clinton; and a daughter Charlene Jones (Doug) of Windsor, MO.

The family will receive visitors at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Consalus Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, with interment following at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd St., Clinton, MO 64735.

Bluejay Fundraisers for the family of Emmett Heiserman

Our Bluejay family is going to come together to raise money for a Montrose Alum, Tammy (Sargent) Heiserman. Tammy and Jeremiah's son, Emmett, was involved in a motor vehicle accident in February, and the 4 year old is still in the hospital.

We will be having a fundraiser all week long March 11-15, 2019. See image below.

This is a benefit for a local family. Let's show the Heiserman family that the motto "Once a Bluejay, Always a Bluejay" is something that applies to alum, as well as present teachers/students.

Congratulations to Issac Rodriguez son of Jesse and Val Rodriguez of Butler, Missouri.

Issac finished a fantastic wrestling season with a record of 24-0 and a State Championship for 12 and under 175lbs. Way to go Issac and we can't wait to see what your future holds in wrestling.

Way to go Brendin Patrick


Congratulations to Brendin Patrick son of Mike and CJ Patrick of Butler who placed 2nd at Missouri USA Wrestling Championship 2019(State). Brendin ended his last youth season 52-2. 

Looking forward to the start of his High School career next year. Outstanding job young man!
