Obituary - Darrel B. Brewster Jr.

Darrel Burton Brewster, Jr. 56, Raymore, MO, passed away Monday, September 2, 2019 at his home. Cremation. No services are scheduled at this time.

Darrel was born September 10, 1962 in Minnesota a son of Darrel Burton Brewster, Sr. and Vivian Lavaun (Hummel) Brewster. He grew up in Peculiar, MO with a large family of four sisters, Debbie, Christine, Darlene and Janelle. He was a 1981 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School where he played basketball and football. He was a longtime resident of Raymore.

Darrel was a longtime KC Chiefs, Mizzou and Royals fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Darrel was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Brewster. He is survived by his wife, Doris, of the home; two children, Jacob Burton Brewster (Katrina), Raymore, MO and Jessica Lauren Estes (Joshua), Blue Springs, MO; his father, Darrel Brewster, Sr., Peculiar, MO; four sisters, Debbie Wildeisen (Bill), Creighton, MO, Christine Brewster, Raymore, Darlene Scott (Larry), Freeman, MO, and Janelle Campbell (Mike), Lamar, MO; three grandchildren, Drake Derby Brown, Evelyn Belle Brewster and Bentley Darrel Estes; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.


Kansas City man arrested in Bates County

On 9/7/19 around 4:10pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 26 year old Damien A. Roberts of Kansas City, Missouri.

Mr. Roberts was arrested for 1.) Jackson County Sheriff's Office Warrant 2.) Speeding 3.) Driving While Suspended.

He was booked into the Bates County Jail in Butler and is currently listed as bondable.

Charges Filed In Belton Homicide


On 9-7-19, the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges in reference to the homicide which occurred at 1015 N Scott on 9-4-19. Each of the parties charged are in custody.

Crishon Marquese Willis, a 19 year old male from Grandview Missouri has been charged with Second Degree Murder, First Degree Robbery, 2 counts of Armed Criminal Action and Forgery. His bond has been set at $250,000 cash only.


Makayla Marie Davis, an 18 year old female from Grandview has been charged with Second Degree Murder, First Degree Robbery, 2 counts of Armed Criminal Action and Forgery. Her bond has been set at $150,000 cash only.

Shane M Pierce, a 20 year old male from Kansas City, Mo has been charged with Second Degree Murder, First Degree Robbery, 2 counts of Armed Criminal Action and Forgery. His bond has been set at $150,000 cash only.

Alea Marie Campbell, an 18 year old female from Belton has been charged with Second Degree Murder, First Degree Robbery, 2 counts of Armed Criminal Action and Forgery. Her bond has been set at $150,000 cash only.

Eldorado Springs man killed in Cedar County Crash

On 9/6/19 around 1:50pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in St. Clair County responded to a one vehicle accident on CR 320 around two miles east of El Dorado Springs, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2007 Ford F-150 driven by 58 year old Gary Norman of El Dorado Springs, Missouri suffered a medical condition on private property, The truck left the property and crossed through a fence before crashing into a house.

Mr. Norman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and he was transported to Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home in Eldorado Springs.

This is Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 76th Fatality accident of 2019.


Fatality Accident In Henry County

On 9/7/19 around 5:30am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County along with Henry County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on Route C at CR NE 224 in rural Henry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1998 Infiniti driven 25 year old Cody M. Bennefeld of Sedalia, Missouri failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the right side of the roadway striking a tree.

Mr. Bennefeld was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and he was transported to Bradley and Hadley Funeral Home.

This is Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 45th fatality accident of 2019.
