Tonight we were made aware of a compliment in regards to Sgt. Hansen. 

A women called Nevada Police after closing a local business and became concerned about some individuals seen around the store during this time.

“Thank you NPD & especially Officer Brian Hansen for making sure I made it to my car safe & sound after work!!”

Good job, Sergeant Hansen


Pursuit in Harrisonville

The area of I-49 south of 291 Highway in Harrisonville is currently down to one lane as deputies clear the roadway following a vehicle pursuit.

Obituary - Karen L. Nameth

Funeral Services for Karen L. Nameth will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 11, 2019 at the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) with her visitation from 10:00 am until service time on Monday, September 11, 2019. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler.

Karen Lynne Nameth, age 72 of Butler, Missouri died Thursday, November 7, 2019 in Butler. She was born January 9, 1947 to Chester Lawrence and Lola Bell Roberts Case.

Karen is survived by her son, Scott Nameth and wife Robyn of Stanley, Kansas; two daughters, Aundreae Mason and husband Derrick and Tiffany Blaser, all of Butler, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Myles Mason and wife Kelsey, Brandon Mason and wife Sarah, Kaleb Blaser, Marcus Nameth, Drake Blaser, Ariel Blaser-Brewster and husband Anthony, Claire Nameth, Jessika Blaser, Olivia Blaser and Lola Blaser; and three great-grandchildren, Briley, Emmie and Brock. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Carl in 2017; and son-in-law, Karl Blaser in 2018.
