Henry County Health Center confirms 8th COVID-19 related death

Today, the Department of Health and Senior Services informed Henry County Health Center of the death of a 56-year-old hospitalized male who had previously tested positive for COVID-19. This marks the eighth death in Henry County due to complications related to COVID-19. This Henry County patient resided in the town of Clinton.

“It is with a great sadness that I have to announce another COVID-19 related death in our county. All of the staff at Henry County Health Center would like to express our deepest sympathy for the family and loved ones of the patient who has passed, as well as the families of everyone who has been affected by this pandemic” said the Henry County Health Center Administrator, Peggy Bowles. “I am pleading with all residents to remain vigilant in their efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Please remain six feet apart, wash your hands, and wear a face covering. It is the simple things that will help reduce the spread of this disease.”

The Henry County Health Center Nurse and Epidemiologists have been working closely to identify people who have been in potential contact with individuals who continue to test positive for COVID-19. They are also in ongoing contact with anyone who has been quarantined or is currently under isolation.
