Plan to hit the Hume square Oct. 24th

Lane Irwin celebrated his 14th birthday on Sunday evening with Tacos and cheesecake for dessert at his Meme and Papa’s house. Lane turned 14 on September 24th, but due to family members having Covid and being in quarantine he had to wait on his birthday celebration.

The Hume Hornets are being able to get in some Junior High Basketball games and Volley Ball games. Our prayers go out to the Rich Hill Foot Ball team, which include players from Hume that are impacted due to Covid. Our family has been affected by Covid, too. So we know that this is not a fun time and all who come down with the virus, lots of prayers for a speedy recovery.

There will be a “Hume’s Small Town Arts and Crafts Day” on Saturday, October 24th, 2020 on the Hume Square from 9:00 a.m to Dark. There will be shopping around the park. We do ask that you wear a mask when you can’t social distance and if you are running a fever or not feeling well, please stay home. The event is posted on facebook, and if you would like to be a vendor please contact Margaret Sears or Katie Pruitt, or send a message on Facebook. There will be a cost to set up and proceeds from this will go to the Hume Community Christmas to help with decorations in the park at Christmas.

Don’t forget the Lord’s Acre Day BBQ and Auction to be held on Saturday, November 7. The freewill donation meal will start at 11:00 a..m. while the auction will get under way at 1:00 p.m.
