Update from Benton County Sheriff Eric Knox

Hello Benton County,

Thank you for all the prayers, hundreds of cards, letters and gifts. There are far too many individuals that have reached out in one form or another to support my wife Joy and I to name individually. We are overwhelmed with support and so humbled at the community outreach. To those that have been organizing fund raisers and events, and to those that have donated, thank you just isn’t enough.

We live in such an amazing community. I have seen many instances of Benton Countians pulling together to help others during my lifetime here…but to be the recipient of all the love this community has to give is an experience I will never forget.

I am pleased to tell you that I am recovering at home and am being well cared for by my family, who have been a rock through this whole experience. Joy is still in the hospital but the doctors are expecting a long road of healing but a full recovery. We are both evidence that prayers work!

The deputies and staff of your Sheriff’s Office have carried on seamlessly during my recovery, I am grateful to have such an incredible crew, I hope you all are as proud as I am. To my law enforcement family. We all say I’ve got your back, and in our family, that is essential to know. But to have it proven on this level…again, thank you isn’t enough. - Sheriff Knox
