Adrian Manor COVID-19 update

This is Sheila Wackerman from Adrian Manor with a COVID update. Unfortunately I have to report that we now have had a second staff member test positive for COVID.

Since we just tested Tuesday our next round of testing will be done the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, but we will have to do a third round of testing on Monday November 30th because of the second staff positive. The residents will now have to be confined to their rooms through the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. We will still be serving them their traditional turkey dinner.

We have had a few call and let us know that they would bring a special plate for their loved one. That is still encouraged. We will make sure your loved one gets the meal you bring to make them feel like that are not missing out on everything this Thanksgiving. We also are encouraging you to do window visits and or call and schedule a video chat. We are increasing the one on one visits to our residents in their rooms, our social service person will be checking on the residents also to ensure everyone is doing ok. We will be updating you at least on a weekly basis and more often if something comes up.

Due to our community being a COVID hotspot right now and the holidays approaching, we would ask that you help us set an example for our community by wearing your mask when you go out and about and please remember to social distance. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to give me a call. Thank you again for your patience and co-operation. We are truly trying to do our best to keep your loved ones safe
