800 years in the making!

800 years in the making! What NASA calls a "Show stopping move." On December 21 Jupiter and Saturn will align to form what is known as the "Great Conjunction." Tomorrow night and this weekend look good to see them getting closer together.

Look to the southwest an hour after sunset, low on the horizon, Jupiter will look like a bright star and be easily visible.

Saturn will be slightly fainter and will appear slightly above and to the left of Jupiter until December 21, when Jupiter will overtake it and they will reverse positions in the sky.
