Is that a wallaby on the loose?

Cpl. Logan and Deputy Baker responded to an "unusual" animal complaint in the 800 block of NW Hwy O at around 9:00 pm on Monday, December 21st. Upon arrival, deputies encountered a wallaby in the roadway, that was called in by a passing motorist.

The owner of the wallaby was located after a short investigation and reunited with his missing pet, which he was attempting to locate when contacted by deputies. Deputies had an opportunity for a quick pic with the wallaby and it's owner, before their departure and heading out to their next call for service.

**UPDATE** I received a text message from a friend that said their son-in-law was one that saw the wallaby cross the road. He said when he stopped to confirm what his eyes had just seen, the wallaby jumped onto his leg. He was able to "facetime" with the dispatcher to confirm he wasn't calling in a false report. Thank you for stopping and making a difference!

All in a day's work!!
