Obituary - Elmer W. Fields

Elmer W. Fields, 85, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Missouri. Elmer will Lie-In-State 12-5 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri. Graveside services will be held 1:00PM on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri.

Elmer Fields was born May 5, 1935 in Denver Colorado to Edward and Maude Fields. Elmer liked to visit with family and friends. He liked to square dance and tinker in the shed. Elmer liked to collect “Rusty Gold”. And he loved to see the country side. Elmer worked at Peabody Coal until it closed down then drove Over the Road Trucking and after he retired he would count how many trucks went by.

Elmer was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Maude Fields, one brother Donald Fields, and two sisters Helen Klick and Elsie Kampe. Elmer is survived by his wife Doris of the home in Clinton, Missouri. One daughter Karen Fields, one son Dennis Fields and fiancé Karla, six sisters Gladys Turner of Ratner Wisconsin, Betty Glenn of Springfield, Missouri, Dorothy Hager of Elkhart, Indiana, Mildred Redding of Lewis Station, Missouri, Barbara Lewis(Bill) of Warrensburg, Missouri , Nadine Pennock of Clinton, Missouri, four brothers Charles Fields (Margaret) of Calhoun, Missouri, Robert Fields of Calhoun, Missouri, Jack Fields of Clinton, Missouri, and Everett Fields of Urich Missouri, four granddaughters Keri Stinnett, Rilee Stinnett, Sarah Baker, Amanda Cooper and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
