Obituary - Louis C. DeAngelis Jr.

Louis C. DeAngelis Jr., age 75, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 in his home.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Higginsville, 20109 Bus., MO-13, Higginsville, Missouri 64037.

Louis was born in Norfolk, Virginia on March 4, 1945 to Louis C. DeAngelis Sr. and Celia (Fraser) DeAngelis. Louis honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1968. He later worked as an electronics technician for several agencies, most recently the National Weather Service. In life Louis was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Disabled American Veterans. He had an impact on many through his volunteer work as an Emergency Medical Technician on a Rescue Squad in Maryland as well as he loved coaching youth sports and sports for wheelchair athletes.

Louis was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marta DeAngelis; parents Louis C. DeAngelis Sr. and Celia DeAngelis; and brother John DeAngelis.

He is survived by his two daughters, Tammie Forster (Erik) and Tabatha Kirke (Chris); son, Levi DeAngelis; step daughter, Erryn Murphy (Adam); two step sons, Caleb Schwach (Katie) and Brett Schwach (Nicole); two sisters, Debra Collins (Charlie) and Barbara Hudgins (Jim);two grandchildren and several step grandchildren.
