Obituary - Peggy Sue Kimzey

Peggy Sue Kimzey, beloved mother and grandmother, age 73, of Lincoln, MO passed away on Friday evening, January 22, 2021 at her home. She was born in Nevada, MO on August 30, 1947 the daughter of Raymond and Pat Bliss. 

She grew up in Nevada. On May 10, 1963 she was united in marriage to Otis "Bud" Kimzey in Nevada. They made their home in Nevada, Overland Park, KS, Spring Hill, KS and ultimately in the Warsaw, MO area. She was a home maker and worked in retail before her retirement. 

Widowed since 1999, Peggy is survived by her partner of 16 years Sam Kerner, two sons, Ray Kimzey and his wife Debbie of Gardner, KS , Jody Kimzey and his wife Beverly, of Fontana, KS, daughter Kimberly Clay and her husband Lonnie of Maricopa, AZ, five grandchildren Alex, Nicholas and Dakota Kimzey, Jessica Laing and Casey Clay, and two step grandchildren Mike Brough and Brandi Armstrong, one sister Millie Rose and one brother Roy "Skip" Bliss, plus great grandchildren and many friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by her husband Bud, her parents Raymond and Pat Bliss, and her sister, Judy Groves. 

There will be a graveside service only at 10:00am on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Click Cemetery in Nevada, MO with Phillip Owens officiating. She will lie in state beginning Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, MO. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Click Cemetery for care and maintenance of the grounds c/o Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. 

Peggy was much loved and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
