Obituary - Robert L. Caldwell

Robert L. Caldwell, age 81, of Urich, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 6th, 2021 at Centerpoint Medical Center Independence, Missouri. Robert's wishes were to be cremated. Fond memories and condolences can be left online at

Robert Caldwell was born August 11, 1939 to Willa Mae Foster and Robert Caldwell in Columbia County - Magnolia Arkansas. He was the second child of six. Both Parents preceded him in death along with his son, a sister, a brother and many other family members.

He was educated in the public schools of Gould, Arkansas graduating in 1957. He accepted Christ at an early age and was affiliated with local churches until he relocated his family to the Kansas City area in 1959. Being skilled in carpentry and construction, Robert worked on many big city projects before started his own company. After many years he became employed at Kansas City Power and Light as an industrial mechanic, in Central Maintenance traveling to other plants during outages.

He was a member of IBEW local 412 . After working 23 years, Robert retired from KCP&L. He met and married Teresa J. Nunley on November 24, 1996 and became "POPS", to her three children, Erica, Dominic (d.2008), and Theresa (Weezie) . Robert and " TC " celebrated their 24th anniversary in 2020. They enjoyed traveling in their RV for many years until Robert's health began to decline. He enjoyed being home watching his favorite westerns.

Robert went to his heavenly home on Wednesday evening January 6, 2021, with his Loving wife , Teresa by his side. Left on earth to continue his Legacy and Preserve his Memory is his wife Teresa J. Caldwell, Daughters: Carolyn, Kim (Dale) , Erica and Weezie, Sons: Tony, Alford, Danny, Albert and Lewis, Sisters: Odessa and Deniece , many Grandchildren and a host of other family members.

Private, Family Reflection of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday January 16, 2021 at 2:00 o'clock p.m. at New Beginnings Baptist Church - 510 West Ohio Street, Clinton Missouri 64735. COVID-19 protocol will be followed. Masks are required and social distancing In Respecting Robert's wishes, plans are being made to Celebrate Robert's Life and 82nd Birthday on August 11, 2021. We pray that by then, more people will have received vaccines to eradicate this virus from our world. As a lasting memorial to Robert, please have your blood pressure checked and maintained regularly. God Bless All.
