New disc golf course being constructed in Nevada

EXCITING NEWS! Bigger, Better Disc Golf is On It's Way! Thanks to Parks & Recreation, with the HUGE assistance of Public Works.

Nevada Parks and Recreation is building a new, 18 hole, regulation size DISC GOLF COURSE!

Parks and Recreation, and your Parks Board, are excited to announce our current very small, 9 hold disc golf course at Marmaduke Park is being replaced!

Parks & Recreation hired Eric McCabe, professional disc golfer and course designer, to design a regulation size, 18 hold disc golf course for our community. We are so excited. The course will be free to the public for normal everyday play.

We will also be able to run fee based tournaments to help pay for future improvements to our park system.

A very special thank you to our Public Works department. Without their expertise and willingness to be involved in this project it simply would not have happened.

Public Works is regularly involved with Parks and Recreation to make many of the events happen each year and to lend their expertise and skills to projects both large and small. Hats off to great team work from a great group of people.

As of today, January 28th, the construction begins! That also means the existing disc golf course is closed to the public as we remove existing baskets, and lay out the new course. Meanwhile, you can look at the layout for the new, expanded course.
