She loved being active and for many years was the “right hand man” as a farmer’s wife during many years on the family farm near Ladue, MO. They were members of the Christian Motorcyclists Association where they developed deep and lasting friendships. Wilma was a member of Deepwater Church of the Brethren until its closure, being active in all aspects of the church especially as a children’s Sunday School teacher. Recently she attended Allen Street Baptist Church. Wilma was not one to sit still for long. She was always finding some way to be busy especially in serving others. For a number of years both Howard and Wilma enjoyed serving at Clinton’s Senior Center in various capacities. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by her children, Gary and Debbie, (Madison, AL), Tom and Brenda (Marlin, TX), Susan and Duane Carter (Clinton, MO), and her daughter in law, Helen Abney (Clinton, MO).
