One arrested after pursuit that started in Henry County and ended in Benton County

On Wednesday, February 17, 2021 Deputy Stutzman and Deputy Kaiser pursued a stolen vehicle in the area of Highway 7 and Highway W. This pursuit was terminated near SE Hwy W and SE 350 Road do to road conditions. 

A short time later, another vehicle was reported stolen from a residence in the 400 blk of SE 500 Road. The owner of that stolen vehicle was pursuing it until Deputy Stutzman and Deputy Kaiser took it over on SE Hwy W. 

The pursuit continued north on SE Hwy W where tire deflation device was successfully deployed near SE 200 road by the Missouri Highway Patrol. The pursuit then turned southbound onto Hwy 7. The pursuit continued into Benton County, where another set of tire deflation devices were deployed on the stolen vehicle by Benton County deputies. 

The pursuit continued into Benton County and ended in the Warsaw area when the stolen vehicle struck a snow bank. The driver, Gregory Pfleiderer, age 42 of Deepwater was taken into custody without incident.

The first stolen vehicle was located in a fence line in the 400 blk of SE 500. That vehicle had been reported stolen on February 7, 2021 in St. Joseph, Missouri. 

Assisting with the pursuits were the Missouri Highway Patrol, Major Hills and Sheriff Oberkrom as well as the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation is continuing and Pfleiderer remains in custody at the Henry County Detention Center.
