Update from Osage Valley Electric Cooperative

While Osage Valley Electric Cooperative is not calling for any planned service interruptions (rolling black outs) we are still asking our members to conserve energy.

We are now on our 12th consecutive day of well below average temperatures and are still seeing record demands on our system. This creates a strain on the power generation plants while fuel prices continue to soar.

Small measures, such as limiting your use of major appliances or setting your thermostat down a couple of degrees can help with reliability and help keep long term costs down. We know many of you are already doing this and we greatly appreciated how our members have jumped in to help out for the good of the entire membership.

We are not asking for anyone to take drastic measures or suffer being cold, just keep your electric usage in mind as you go about your daily activities.
