Clinton School District approved the hiring of Brian Wishard as the 2021-2022 Assistant Superintendent

During Monday night’s regular Board of Education meeting, the Clinton School District approved the hiring of Brian Wishard as the 2021-2022 Assistant Superintendent.

Mr. Wishard is currently an Assistant Superintendent for Student Services/Human Resources in the Warrensburg School District.

Prior to this, Brian was the Principal and Superintendent of the Leesville R-IX School District for 11 years. Brian has also held administrative, teaching, and coaching positions with the Miami, OK, Henry County R-I, and the Calhoun R-VIII school districts.

Brian received his bachelor's degree from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK and his master’s degree from the University of Central Missouri. Mr. Wishard also holds an education specialist degree from William Woods University.

Brian is married to Angie Wishard who teaches at the Clinton Early Childhood Center. They have two daughters, Gentry and Briley. Gentry is currently a student at UCM and a graduate of Clinton High School. Briley is a freshman at Clinton High School.

Superintendent, Destry Brown says, “I am so excited for Brian to be our next assistant superintendent. He is a people person and does not know a stranger. Being from Clinton, he will bring a strength in his community connections to our team. He is an outstanding district leader and has a vast experience of leadership that will help the district continue on its path toward continuous improvement.”

Brian is excited to begin his work with the Clinton School District on July 1st. "I am looking forward to working with the Clinton School District. This is a great opportunity to be part of an excellent central office team. I am excited to work with administrators, faculty, staff, parents, and students of the Clinton community.”
