Obituary - Sharon Kay Beaver

Sharon Kay Beaver, age 66, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial at Raymore Cemetery in Raymore, Missouri.

Sharon was born in Kansas City, Missouri on December 19, 1954 to Floyd Allen Vest and Virginia Mae (McClelland) Vest. In the summer of 1974, she was joined in marriage with her husband David on June 21st. Together owning and operating Supreme Glass in Belton, Missouri, and pastoring Living Faith Assembly.

In life, Sharon loved being surrounded by and ministering to children. Her heart and purpose were to share with the kids all about the love of her life, Jesus. At every opportunity, she would tell them of His love for them, how He was the most important decision anyone could ever make, and how vital it was in giving their heart and lives to Him.

Sharon enjoyed playing games and pranks on people. A common thing David would say to Sharon through her life was that he would put on her tombstone, “Never A Dull Moment.” He will be honoring that promise to her. Sharon loved gardening, was a gifted piano player, and singer. She went out of her way to spoil others, especially children. She was an elaborate event planner and had a unique gift for blessing many with this talent. Sharon was a creative genius, amazingly imaginative, and a true visionary. Sharon was a great lover of pets. She loved rescued animals because she was for those who nobody loved. Sharon experienced a lot of hurt and pain in her life and faced a lot of rejection. David would encourage her to keep going forward and that she was greatly loved. She would say “I know God loves me,” but would struggle on other’s reactions at times. Her intention and purpose were to always be kind. She knew the pain words could cause and she always chose kindness.

Sharon was an American patriot. She loved our country and our veterans. She prayed every night for our nation.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Virginia Vest; unborn twin sister; sister, Patricia Vest; brother Robert “Bob” Vest; and brother-in-law, Keith Smith.

She is survived by her loving husband of over forty-six years, David Beaver; son, Michael Beaver; two daughters, Christie Finney (Ryan) and Cherie Ann Radiant (Joseth); two brothers, Jim Vest (Mary Beth) and Jerry Vest (Sally); two sisters, Cathy McClendon (Ed) and Nancy Smith; and three grandchildren, Ava Finney, Ethan Finney, and Fearless Trust Radiant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Living Faith Assembly of God, 110 W. Walnut St., Raymore, Missouri 64083.
