Three arrests made in Cedar County

On April 24th the theft of a farm implement was reported west of Eldorado Springs. Cedar County Sheriff McCrary investigated the theft. The investigation lead to the arrest of Joseph Batchelor from Eldorado Springs. 

The investigation also lead to the recovery of The implement and another piece of equipment that was previously reported stolen from the same person. 

The items were recovered in Polk county and returned to the owner. Batchelor has been charged with two counts of felony stealing. He is currently in Cedar co. jail on $25,000 bond. Deputies Welch, Schlup, Schwalm, Eldorado Springs Officers and Polk county Sheriffs Office assisted with the investigation.

In separate incident on April 24th Kyle Ewing and Jarrett Major were arrested in Vernon co. for suspicion of attempted burglary in Cedar co. They have both been charged with felonies and are in Cedar co. jail. 

This incident was investigated by Deputy Zakk Yokley, Deputies Garrett Lukenbill, Clay Jeffries and Vernon co. Deputies assisted with the arrest.
