Jennifer Corson named principal of Clinton Middle School

The Clinton School District is proud to announce it has selected Jennifer Corson as the principal of Clinton Middle School beginning with the 2021-2022 school year.

Jennifer has been an educator for 16 years. She spent her first eight years in the classroom as a middle school ELA and Math teacher and has spent the last eight years as an administrator, where she currently serves as the Leeton R-X Middle/High School Principal. 

Jennifer has immense leadership experience that will be beneficial as she begins her work in the Clinton School District. Her leadership and administrative experience includes; curriculum writing and implementation, data-driven pedagogies to drive instruction and improve academics, led and implemented professional development in project-based learning, presenter at conferences (MAESP, MOASSP, MARE) on positive school climate/culture, Missouri Leadership Development System Mentor to new principals in the central region, Missouri Leadership Academy facilitator, creator of the Systematic Framework for Success Ready Students (in partnership with DESE/RPDC). Jennifer was also the recipient of the MOASSP Central Region Consummate Professional Award in 2020.
 
Jennifer began her education at the University of Central Missouri where she received a BSE in Early Childhood and Elementary Education in 2005. She also holds a Master’s degree in K-12 Educational Administration and a Education Specialist degree, both from William Woods University. Mrs. Corson is currently writing her dissertation and plans to complete her Doctorate in Educational Leadership this fall from William Woods University.

Jennifer and her husband, Jake, have two children Landon (13) and Parker (10). In their spare time, the family enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, and fishing.

Superintendent, Destry Brown says, “Jennifer brings middle school teaching and leadership experience to this position. She is very personable and will work very well with the staff, students, and parents. She is very positive and enthusiastic and will bring some great ideas and the energy to get things done.”

Jennifer is looking forward to beginning her work with the Clinton School District on July 1st. "I am thrilled and honored to have been chosen as the principal at Clinton Middle School for the 2021-2022 school year!
