On May 27th around 12:40 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies, Bates County EMS and Butler Fire Department responded to a two vehicle accident on F Highway and CR 1001 just west of Passaic.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the when the 1999 Jeep Cherokee driven by 27 year old Dylan J. Warren of Butler, Missouri failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled into the path of the 2001 Chevrolet truck driven by 25 year old Chance W. Gregory of Amoret, Missouri. After impact the Jeep overturned and came to rest on private property.
Mr. Warren and a juvenile male passenger in his vehicle both sustained serious injuries in this accident and both were transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital and later flown to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the accident by Douty's Tow of Butler.
