Welcome to the family!

The Clinton School District has selected Miranda White as the principal of Clinton Intermediate School beginning with the 2021-2022 school year.

Mrs. White will bring 21 years of experience to the students and staff at Clinton Intermediate School.  Miranda began her career in the LaMonte School District where, for 19 years, she taught a variety of grade levels, served as the PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports) coach, and Instructional Coach. For the past two years, Miranda has served as the principal at Glasgow Elementary.  Her primary responsibilities were curriculum development and enrichment, student discipline, teacher evaluation, and supervision of a variety of PK-12 school activities.

Miranda has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Educational Technology, both from Central Missouri State University. In 2019, she graduated from William Woods University with a Specialist degree in Administration.

Miranda and her husband, Joe, who works for Mossy Oak, have been married for 20 years this summer.  They have two children, Austynn Evelyne (15) and Cooper Pete (12). The family owns a farm near Marshall Junction where they enjoy rehabilitating wild animals, which include squirrels and raccoons, and they can’t wait to have a skunk!

Superintendent Destry Brown says, “Miranda is full of positive energy and has strong communication skills.  She will be highly-visible at CIS.  She is very personable and approachable and will establish strong connections with students, staff, and families of our students.  We are excited to have her as our new principal at Clinton Intermediate School.”

Miranda is looking forward to beginning her work with the students and staff of CIS, “From the moment I sat down for my interview with the faculty and staff of CIS, I felt like we were already friends!  We laughed and talked about shared interests in a variety of things. But, most importantly, I felt as though we shared the same values and ideals for where we could take Clinton Intermediate School.  I can’t wait to serve the teachers and students at CIS!  Joining the Clinton School District family is a blessing and I very much look forward to working with an amazing, dynamic team of administrators.

Hang onto your hats….it’s going be a GREAT YEAR!”
Help us welcome Miranda to the Cardinal family!
