Two from Colorado injured in Cass County Crash

On June 11th around 3:20 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies and Garden City Fire Department responded to a one vehicle accident in the northbound lanes of Missouri 7 Highway at Sycamore Grove Road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2014 Honda Pilot driven by 73 year old Mark D. Sellers from Monument, Colorado fell asleep and the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck culvert. The vehicle became airborne, crossed the road and traveled off the right side of the roadway before coming to rest.

Mr. Sellers and a juvenile passenger in his vehicle both sustained moderate injuries and both were transported by ambulance to Cass Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene of this accident by J's Southland Tow of Raymore.
