Welcome to the family

The Clinton School District is excited to welcome the Townsend family to our Cardinal family this coming school year. Both Tim and Jordan will be teaching at Clinton Middle School. Jordan will be teaching 6th Grade English Language Arts and Tim will be teaching Health and Life Skills Management, as well as coaching Freshman Boys Basketball and an assistant football coach at CMS.

The Townsends are Missouri natives. Tim grew up in Branson and Jordan in Collins. Tim attended College of the Ozarks, where he received a bachelor's degree, and also played baseball. Jordan graduated from Missouri State University with both a bachelor's and master’s degree.

Tim and Jordan have 3 children, Ainsley (6), who will attend 1st grade at Henry Elementary this year, Easton (5), and Axton (2). Together they enjoy sporting events with their kids, going to the park, and watching Tim coach sports during the school year. Although they will be new to the to the district this year, they have been part of the Clinton community the past several years, as Jordan's parents own Smith’s Restaurant.

The Townsends moved to Clinton last summer to be closer to them, and knew joining the school district would be the next best step in becoming part of the community. Jordan also owns a wholesale screen-printing graphic t-shirt business, which keeps her busy outside of school. In his free time, Tim enjoys golfing and mowing.

The Townsends are excited to begin their work with the students in the Clinton School District, "My wife and I bought a house here, her family is here, it’s nice to officially be part of this community. This is where, as a family, we want to be and are excited to join the Clinton School District," says Tim.

Jordan is just as excited, "I am excited to work in the Clinton School District not only because it is closer to home, but because of the amazing staff and opportunities for our family here as well. I am most excited to meet my new students and have a lot of fun in the coming years teaching ELA!"
