Welcome to the family

The Clinton School District has selected Alyssa Bush as the assistant principal of Clinton Intermediate School beginning with the 2021-2022 school year.

Mrs. Bush has been an educator for eight years, where she began her career as a teacher in the Crest Ridge School District. She most recently worked in the Independence School District. Alyssa has had extensive leadership experiences in the districts she has served in, including; mentoring new educators, assisting her district’s transition to a new grading system, new school schedule, and she most recently helped her district transition from in-person learning to a virtual learning platform. Mrs. Bush also has experience with character development and education as she assisted her building in becoming a “Leader in Me” school.

Alyssa began her post-secondary education at the University of Central Missouri where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She also holds a Master’s of Education in Elementary Administration and an Education Specialist in Curriculum Leadership, both from William Woods University.

Alyssa grew up in Knob Noster, MO and has been married to her high school sweetheart, Brad, for 13 years. They have three daughters Madison (14), Emma (12), and Aria (6). Their family is made complete by two Australian Shepherds named Huckleberry and Milo. Mrs. Bush is also excited to be bringing a pet with her to CIS, but students will have to wait until school starts to find out what this pet will be.

CIS principal, Miranda White says, “I’m very much looking forward to creating a strong partnership with Alyssa. I think we’ll compliment each other perfectly.”

Alyssa is looking forward to beginning her work with CIS students and staff next month, “Clinton is a great community with so much love to give. I look forward to being able to share my strengths with such an outstanding community.“
