State Farm Student Athlete of the week

We are so excited to announce the recipient of this week’s State Farm Student Athlete of the week Junior, Jade Bravo from Drexel. Jade is a Bobcat cheerleader. She has been a member of the cheer team since she was a freshman and was nominated by her Coach Melissa Busch. She stated “Jade not only has outstanding positive school spirit, but she is the epitome of poise and grace.

She is one of the most humble people you will ever meet who always puts others first, yet she holds her head high on the sideline and is loud and proud with her Bobcat pride. Jade is a true leader and is eager to help the underclassmen learn material in an encouraging and patient way.

She excels in the classroom as well, and is a great student, a great citizen and a great role model for others to follow.” When we asked Jade what it takes to be a leader she stated “a leader will encourage others to do their best.” When we asked what it takes to be successful in cheerleading she stated “practicing over and over is what it takes to become successful.” Jade states she hopes to attend college after graduating high school and study to become a teacher. It truly was a pleasure meeting Jade. She is the first cheerleader to ever receive this award and it is well-deserved. We want to wish her the best of luck in the future.
