Update: One dead after shooting at Pilot Truck Stop in Nevada

On Wednesday September 22, 2021 at approximately 7:05 p.m., officers from the Nevada Police Department and Vernon County Sheriffs Office responded to the parking lot of Pilot Truck Stop in the 2400 block of E. Austin Boulevard for a report of gunshots fired. Responding emergency personnel located one male subject inside a vehicle that had sustained gunshot wounds. 

The male subject was transported from the scene by ambulance to Nevada Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. One person has been taken into police custody and the investigation remains ongoing.
