Above normal temperatures are expected through the end of the work week. A strong storm system will track across the middle of the country Friday into Saturday.
The track of this system will keep the chances for accumulating snow across Nebraska and Iowa but will lead to a large temperature gradient across northern Missouri and northeastern Kansas.
Highs Friday will range from the low 70s south and east of Kansas City to the lower 40s in far northwestern Missouri. Temperatures then drop into the 40s for Saturday across the area.
