City of Harrisonville boil water advisory for part of town

ATTENTION: City of Harrisonville staff are currently repairing a small water main break affecting parts of the Walker subdivision.

At this time we are issuing a precautionary Boil Advisory for homes and businesses located on Joy Street, between Commercial & Jil St, Kay Street, between Joy & Walker Dr. and Kirk Street, between Kay & Jil. The advisory is expected to last 24 hours.

During this time, as a precaution, please boil it for 3 minutes before drinking/cooking with it. Currently the water is believed to be safe for bathing and washing.

This advisory is a precautionary measure and will be lifted after water service and quality are fully restored and water quality tests verify the safety of the water supply.

UPDATE: Crews have received a clean sample from the labs in Kansas City and have lifted the precautionary Boil Advisory for the Walker subdivision.
