Clyde, a lifelong resident of Moundville, graduated from Nevada High School in 1954. He worked for Joseph L. Pohl Construction for 40 years until his retirement and was a longtime member of Operating Engineers Local #101. Throughout his life, Clyde also farmed and raised cattle. He enjoyed fishing, quail hunting, and coon hunting.
In addition to his wife LaDene, he is survived by three children: Brenda Young (Clifford) Bentonville, AR, Allen Bley (Janet), Moundville, MO, and Doug Bley (Teri), Moundville, MO; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Gulliford, Nevada, and Charlene Widmar, Franklin, KS; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Marvin Bley, and Lee Bley; sister, Glenna Gordon; and an infant sister, Chelsea.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Memory Gardens in Ft. Scott, KS with Pastor Adam Gordon officiating.
