On Tuesday February 8th around 2:50 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Cedar County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on Highway 979 around 5 miles south of El Dorado Springs.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer driven by a 17-year-old juvenile from El Dorado Springs crossed the center of the road and overcorrected leaving the west side of the road and striking a tree.
The male juvenile driver sustained moderate injuries and he was flown by air ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
