Obituary - Betty Rose Bosch

Betty Rose Bosch died Friday, January 28, 2022 in Butler, Missouri Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, Feb. 8 at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Alzheimer’s’ disease research. Services under the direction of Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler (660-679-0009). Betty was born on March 26, 1932, the second of three children of Walter L. Dishman and R. Leona Dishman, and grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. She was married to Rex D. Bosch on July 10, 1954, with whom she raised three sons. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Betty worked for Wien Air Alaska and for the Geophysical institute in Fairbanks, Alaska, as a bookkeeper. She held jobs in Anchorage as well. Once she was convinced to learn how to ski, she found what she loved to do. She also loved walking and berry picking in the fields in Alaska. She enjoyed baking/cooking, knitting, sewing, crocheting, and gardening. After moving back to Missouri, she was a long-time resident of Blue Springs, Missouri and worked for the Tomahawk Mortgage Company of Blue Springs and the First Federal Bank of Kansas City before she retired.

Betty Bosch was preceded in death by her parents Walter L. Dishman, R. Leona Dishman, her husband Rex D. Bosch, her oldest son Kimberly D. Bosch (Joy), and her siblings, Jean Stokes and Jimmie Dishman. She is survived by sons Gregory K. Bosch (Lisa) and Eric C. Bosch (Justine), 12 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
