William was born July 26, 1942 to Alvie Russell Sutton and Goldie White Sutton of Roscoe, (St. Clair county) MO . After school, he went to work as a butcher at the Clinton Packing Company. William married Karen Kae Bedford on October 2, 1971 in Warrensburg, MO. He enjoyed gardening, mowing, fishing, baseball, rodeo, and western (especially the ‘Lone Ranger’) movies. Most of all, William loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Karen Sutton; his children, Roxine (Richard) Mallory, David (Laura) Sutton and Dale (Kelly) Sutton; eight grandchildren, Andrew, Cassandra, Kendra, Christine, Blake, Hannah, Tesslah and Jack; nine great grandchildren, London, Giovanni, Cassidy, Wayne, Alexandria, Sylvia Marie, Keeva, Hazel and Arianna; other family members and several friends.
William was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Sandra Sutton and an infant daughter, Ronda Lynn Sutton; a grandchild, Zachary Wade Sutton; two brothers, Wesley and Wilbur; and a sister, Goldie.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Allen Street Baptist Church on West Allen St., with burial following at Vansant Road Cemetery, Clinton, MO. After the services have concluded the Sutton Family and Allen Street Baptist Church are hosting a dinner at the church. All are invited to attend.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Henry County Cancer Fund, or the William Sutton Memorial Fund to assist with final expenses and may be left with Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd St., Clinton, MO 64735.
