Cass County man dead after drowning in Pleasant Hill Lake

On Sunday March 20th around 11:15 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies and Pleasant Hill Police Department responded to Pleasant Hill City Lake on a report of a possible downing.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the incident occurred when 67 year old Michael L. Hamilton of Pleasant Hill, Missouri fell out of his 1981 Monark Boat and into the lake. 

Bystanders attempted to rescue and ultimately recovered the body of Mr. Hamilton.
