Melvin Keith Shobe, age 68 of Butler, Missouri died Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler. He was born December 6, 1953 to Ervin and Betty Hawkins Cooper Shobe in Butler.
Melvin Keith was the seventh of nine children. He grew up in Butler, Missouri and received his certificate of high school equivalence on May 17, 1966. He worked numerous factory jobs throughout his lifetime.
Melvin Keith enjoyed hunting in the early years of his life with his father and many family and friends. In the summer he would go fishing and took his children along to show them the tricks of fishing. His cooking skills kept the family full and satisfied. He enjoyed buying his children their first cars and teaching them to drive. He loved his TV shows and that remote control belonged to him! His crown royal and jack was always in the cabinet for now and then casual spirits.
Left to cherish Keith Shobe’s memory are his wife, Teresa Shobe of Butler, Missouri; three daughters, Tylleassa Shobe and Keiya Shobe both of Butler, Missouri and Keither Ryland of Boston, Massachusetts; a son, Corey Snead of Butler, Missouri; two brothers, Kenny Cooper of Butler, Missouri and Gerald Shobe and wife Debra of Rich Hill, Missouri; a sister, Carla Besendorfer and husband Dan; and seven grandchildren, Edward Jones, Jasani Jones, Zachon Jones, Naenae Dancy, Cassidy Dancy, Keyarah Shobe and Majesty Carter. He was preceded in death by parents; two brothers, Danny Cooper and Steve Hawkins; and three sisters, Sharon Shobe, Karen Mallatt and Etta Jane Williams-Jack.
