She was united in marriage to Bobby Ray West in Abilene, Texas on July 25, 1964. Bobby then finished serving in the United States Air Force and they moved to Brevard, North Carolina. She helped Bobby with raising their three children and building their sporting goods store. In 1982 they moved to Lincoln, Missouri. Mary helped raise turkeys for thirteen years and then chickens eggs for ten years as well as other farm chores. She loved to farm, flower gardening, vegetable farming and fishing.
She is survived by her beloved husband Bobby R. West, of the home, a daughter, Tammy Elizabeth Fischer and her husband Fredrick, of Stover, Missouri, two sons; Tye Ron West, of Florence, Missouri and Tab Ray West, and his wife Pamela, of Versailles, Missouri, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mary is preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Elizabeth Brawner Taylor, her father Jessie E. Taylor, two sisters; Wanda Louis Carrol and Joyce Lee Burks, a brother, Jessie LeRoy Taylor and a granddaughter, Dawn Elizabeth Fischer.
Arrangements for her cremation are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home 101 W. Main Street Warsaw, Missouri.
