Jill Chapman selected as the principal of Clinton Middle School

The Clinton School District has selected Jill Chapman as the principal of Clinton Middle School beginning with the 2022-2023 school year.
Mrs. Chapman, who is completing her fourth year as a math teacher at Clinton Middle School, will bring 24 years of teaching and leadership experience to the students and staff at Clinton Middle School. 

Jill has taught both at the middle school and elementary levels, and prior to coming to Clinton in 2018, she was the elementary principal at Warsaw North Elementary for seven years. Jill is recognized as a top-notch educator in the Clinton School District, where she was featured as part of the #TeacherProud social media campaign with the Greater Ozarks Cooperating School District, and was a finalist for 21-22 Educator of the Year Award in the Clinton School District.

Mrs. Chapman has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in middle school math from Missouri State University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Pittsburg State University, and a Specialist Degree from William Woods University.
Jill and her husband, Ricky, live in Lincoln, MO where Ricky is a Corporal for the Missouri State Highway Patrol. When not at work, they enjoy spending time with their family, which includes two adult daughters, Lauren and Reagan, one daughter in middle school, Savannah, and two grandchildren, Tripp and Miller. As you can imagine, the Chapman family’s weeks are filled with sports practices, games, and lots of fun!
Assistant Superintendent Brian Wishard says, “I am excited to have Mrs. Jill Chapman as the next Clinton Middle School principal for the 2022-2023 school year. Mrs. Chapman has outstanding communication skills with a strong background in behavior management. I believe with her strength in collaboration and her ability to build teams, she will continue to move Clinton Middle School in a positive direction.”

I am excited to have the opportunity to learn and lead alongside the outstanding and dedicated staff at CMS. I am eager to help grow our students and support our community of excellence.”
