Clinton Middle School hires new math teacher

The Clinton School District is excited to announce that Amanda Blackwell is joining the Clinton Middle School team as a math teacher.

Mrs. Blackwell actually began her teaching career as a Clinton Cardinal 14 years ago when she was a CMS Discovery teacher.

Since then, she has taught at Green Ridge and Sherwood, where she spent the last 10 years teaching multiple math, history and computer classes. Amanda has also been an adjunct instructor for Central Methodist University.
Amanda holds a master's and educational specialist degree from the University of Central Missouri.

Amanda has a beautifully blended family with five boys and two bonus daughters. The family has lived in Clinton for over 20 years, and have been involved in multiple community events. They enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, and spending time together. Amanda's major hobbies outside of school are crafting, photography, and running.

She is a proud St. Jude Hero and Ambassador, running races and raising money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. She is currently preparing to participate in the Berlin, Germany marathon to raise money for the hospital.

"I’m excited to bring it all back to where it started with my teaching career right here in the nest! It will be a grand adventure working with some amazing colleagues and students! I can’t wait to continue learning with my students here in Clinton!"
