Obituary - George Daniel Price

Danny was born March 2nd, 1955, in Moberly, MO, to Kenneth and Juanita Price. He was one of thirteen children being 6th in the birth order. 

Danny joined his LORD and SAVIOR on June 11th, 2022, surrounded by his family at his home in Peculiar, MO.

A memorial service will be held for Danny at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Rock Brook Church, 1715 173rd Street, Belton, Missouri 64012.

Danny married Beth Robb on May 3rd, 1975, and had their first born, Shannon Wayne, in 1976 in Columbia, MO. They moved their family to Kansas City, MO, in 1978, where he became an employee of Yellow Freight Transportation. After the move, they had three more children Jason Coy, Justin Daniel, and Shawna Colleen.

Danny loved his family and worked hard with endless hours at the shop. In his spare time, which was little, he enjoyed hunting and working on his “Yellow Challenger.” Danny/ “B” loved spending time with his prized possessions, his grandchildren. Danny finally retired at age 66 on December 30th, 2021, as a diesel mechanic of 44 years known as “Diesel Dan”.

Surviving is Beth, his wife of 47 years, Shannon Price (Stacy) Shyann, Kolton, and Kolbey of Cleveland, MO. Jason Price (Leila) Taina’ and Mikhail of Belton, MO. Justin Price (Jess) of Belton, MO. Tyler Price (Rachel) and Savanna of Cleveland, MO. Connor, Audry, and Brandi Price all of Cleveland, MO. Shawna Price (Ryan), Trinity, Shelden, and Lana of Peculiar, MO. Along with several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and hundreds of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin grandsons, Samuel & Tucker Price, a sister Linda Price, a brother Ronnie Price, a brother in law Steven Ketchum, and two nephews, Kenny Gayle Price and Toby Ketchum, and niece Jessica Price.

Since Danny was a survivor of traumatic brain injury in 1980 he had made the choice to donate his body to science at KU Hospital. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
