Pauline was a lifelong resident of Bates County, Missouri where she attended school in Butler. She worked as a homemaker, was her own boss and enjoyed the freedom of creating her own schedule. On February 7, 1954 Pauline was united in marriage to Jimmie Ray Ridley Sr. and to this union, five children were born.
Pauline enjoyed being outside and driving through the country. She also liked to cook and was known for her homemade noodles . . . and putting peas in her taco meat! She loved all animals, especially her dogs and cats. Pauline was always helping people and a giver around the Amoret community to any neighbor in need. Pauline loved the people and the Amoret community. Once a lady in town was having car trouble. She said Pauline drove her back and forth to work in Butler for two weeks until her car was repaired. She mowed the Benjamin Cemetery for many years. Pauline and sister Bonnie collected trash in Amoret and the rural area for Spud Welston Trash Service as long as they were able. Spud took good care of them. Pauline served on the Amoret City Council and read water meters for the Amoret Water District. She also worked for Herb Dunlap during pecan season and helped to care for disabled Mrs. Dunlap. If any thing was happening in Amoret she was involved. Pauline loved Amoret and her friends there. When Pauline could no longer take care of herself, her daughter Terry and Amoret friends took good care of her.
