12 year old Archie juvenile injured in UTV accident

On July 21st around 5:05 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriffs Deputies and Adrian Fire Department responded to a UTV accident at CR NE 1253 just south of NE 355th Street.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the eastbound 2015 Polaris Ranger driven by a 12 year old juvenile male from Archie, Missouri began to skid on the roadway, crossed the center of the road and traveled off the left side overturning.

The 12 year old male sustained serious injuries and he was transported by Life Flight to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
