Butler man injured after accident near Passaic

On July 20th around 4:46 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies, Adrian Fire Department and Bates County EMS responded to a one vehicle accident on CR41 just north of NE Business 49 Loop near Passaic.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado driven by 52 year old John L. Anderson of Butler, Missouri suffered a medical episode and failed to negotiate a curve and traveling off the right side of the roadway striking an embankment.

Mr. Anderson sustained serious injuries and he was transported by Life Flight Eagle to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene of this accident by Douty's Tow of Butler.
