Obituary - Edith Louise LaFarge

Funeral services for Edith LaFarge of Fort Scott, Kansas will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2022 at the Community Christian Church in Fort Scott under direction of the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri.

Edith Louise (Main) LaFarge, age 99 of Fort Scott, Kansas died Wednesday, July 27, 2022 in rural Fort Scott. She was born August 26, 1922 to Felix Brewster and Fannie Mabell Wilson Main near Sprague in Bates County, Missouri.

Edith is survived by two daughters, Karan Headley and husband Mark of Valley Center, Kansas and Arita McAllister and husband Randy of Fort Scott, Kansas; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; niece and nephews Louise Brown, Mike Cowan, Scott Main and Darrell Main; many great and great-great nephews and nieces; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; nine siblings; husband, Fay Howard LaFarge; and son, Duain Howard LaFarge.
